Over Labor Day weekend I was invited to check out Jay Z’s Made In America Festival in the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia. In front of the the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum the top artists played to a throng of festival goers braving the humidity on day one, and the rain on day two.
JAY Z brought out most of the GOOD Music crew and even joined Pearl Jam on night two for an airtight performance of “99 Problems” off of his Black Album. Overall the scene was spectacular with two outdoor stages, and one electro tent bumping the likes of Alesso, Calvin Harris, Afrojack, and others.
The festival was filmed for a documentary directed by Ron Howard, and produced by Brian Grazer set to come out some time next year. I want to thank Brian for setting me up with backstage passes to check out the action. Can’t wait to see what is in store for this festival in the future!
